The Root Doctors

With seven strong "doctors of music" on stage, including a two-piece horn section, The Root Doctors is able to cover any style of music that is perfect for any occasion.

High energy on stage from all seven "doctors" sets this group of entertainers into a league of its own. Having recorded three albums with Grammy-ward winning producers, The Root Doctors are true professionals in the music industry. In 1996 the band received national exposure when MTV covered an outdoor concert at Finlay Park in Columbia, S.C., at which The Root Doctors was performing to an audience of 14,000 bouncing and gyrating hometown fans. The band has opened for Ray Charles, Little Richard, The B-52s, The Gap Band, Cameo, KC & the Sunshine Band, A Flock of Seagulls, Morris Day & The Time, and Heatwave.

The Root Doctors band places strong emphasis on pleasing clients and is willing to do what it takes to ensure the audience has a great time. This band is just what the doctor ordered for a successful and worry-free occasion!
